Private

The internet is a rather impersonal medium. It allows you to hide behind IP addresses and often there are services offered on websites which do not state any names of real people but rather request you to contact an info@.... mail address.

I dislike these pages because I am convinced that any potential customer is interested in a bit more information about the person he or she wants to establish a business relationship with. This is the reason why you can read here something about me personally.

In the case that you decide to entrust me with your translations it may be that we will also talk on the phone. It may also happen that you then hear a dog barking. This is Carla, a black Labrador mix, defending my office against postmen, parcel deliverymen and paper men.

Carla may also be the reason why I am sometimes not available by phone as she wants to be walked frequently. But then… refreshed from the strong wind that we often have in northern Germany and the enforced break, I come back to my office with a clear head and renewed energy.

Language - this is my profession and my passion. In my spare time I write short stories. Some of them have already been published in Germany.

Another passion is patchwork. When living in California, I got infected with the quilt virus and this has never left me.
